A new earth paradigm is not all rainbows and light. It is chaos and destruction, the crumbling of old structures, that gives way to new creation. It’s a revolution that begins in our homes. It exists in the way we hold our loved ones and the way we dance and sing and laugh. It’s present in our unity, resilience, and faith. It’s in every prayer for our waters and children. A new earth is gestating in the eye of the storm.

I started this painting over two years ago at an intimate community festival. This was my first experience of many to come- gathering to remember how to live in reciprocity with the earth and eachother. That weekend activated a knowing deep within, and I’ve been adding layers to this piece ever since. Right now with everything transpiring in the world, felt like a good time to complete this piece and share it.
